Consuming Fictions: Reading and Eating Disorders

How much of your day, and your week, do you spend reading? What kinds of things do you read? Has that, or the amount, changed over the years? Does what you read ever feel relevant to your mental health, in intangible or perhaps distinctly concrete ways?

This post is a reflection on these questions, both from a personal perspective and, interwoven with it, from the perspective of research I’ve carried out over the past four years, beginning with my Knowledge Exchange Fellowship at TORCH.
