Hear Nadine Benjamin and Nicole Panizza Perform

Four images of Nadine Benjamin and Nicole Panizza performing

Last Thursday we were hoping to bring you a performance as part of our Big Tent, Live Event series streamed live from the historic Holywell Music Room with soprano, Nadine Benjamin and pianist, Nicole Panizza. Unfortunately we have had to postpone the event owing to COVID-19 restrictions.

The planned programme of American Art Song in Recital will be rescheduled for a date later in the year, where Nadine and Nicole will share with you their unique performance of Emily Dickinson’s and Mary Oliver's poetry set to music by celebrated composers. To see the full programme, please visit the event page here.

A recent critic wrote: ‘The charismatic performances of Benjamin and Panizza act as powerful advocates for the American art song genre, firmly reinforcing its critical importance in the Anglo-American musical and literary performance realms.’

Although our event is unable to happen at the moment, we invite you to enjoy and listen to their performance of Nature, the gentlest mother by Aaron Copland from '12 Poems of Emily Dickinson' which forms part of their programme: Emergence - Emily Dickinson.
