Studies in Old English Literature (SOEL) welcomes proposals for monographs and edited collections on any aspect of Old English literature and related contexts. This might include original research on individual texts and authors, comparative work with other languages and their literatures (e.g. Latin, Old Norse, Celtic), technical studies of metre, style and form, manuscript studies, textual criticism, theoretical approaches and reception, as well as investigations into the broader literary, historical, theological and cultural contexts of Old English literature. Volumes in the series are aimed at researchers and scholars, but are intended to be accessible to advanced undergraduate students.
