TORCH Poster Competition 2016 winners announced

We’re delighted to name the three winners of the TORCH Poster Competition 2016.

Olivia Robinson (History) collected first prize at a Humanities DPhil Showcase event on 12 May. Olivia’s poster, summarising her research project, ‘Out of Sight and Over Here’, can be seen here. The other winning entries were ‘Digitally Reconstructing Tudor Music Manuscripts: John Sadler’s Partbooks’ (Katherine Butler, Music here) and ‘The Tunebooks of JB Malchair, Oxford c. 1770-1812’ (Alice Little, Music here).  

This annual competition is an opportunity for early career academics to showcase their research. The winners and other posters from the competition will be displayed in the foyer of the Radcliffe Humanities Building, showing the range of research being carried out by in the Humanities at Oxford, from French Caribbean Women’s Theatre and Empathetic Modernism and Contemporary Fiction to Organised Activities for Late-Soviet Youth and The Islamic Arts of the Book in the Lands of Rūm, 1270s-1370s among many others.
