TORCH to be Part of Being Human Festival

torch to be part of being human festival

We are delighted to be part of the national festival of the humanities Being Human. TORCH will team up with the Ashmolean Museum for a late night opening in November with events from across the University and the city, which will be the official closing event for the nationwide festival.

The event FrightFriday will stage a range of workshops, live music, screenings, performance and bite-size talks exploring the art and science of hope and fear. We welcome ideas for events from researchers at the University of Oxford, Brookes University, and community groups in Oxford. Please get in touch with Victoria McGuinness (victoria.mcguinness@humanities.ox.ac.uk) for more information. Interdisciplinary proposals are particularly encouraged, including those that bring together the arts and sciences. We are particularly keen to hear about ideas that tie in with an object or objects in the Ashmolean collections.
