The TORCH Race and Resistance programme are hosting a 'Discussion Week- Black History Month: Race and the Academy'. As a follow up to the October 24 "Racism in the Body of the Academy: Statues and Classrooms" lecture at Pembroke College, Race and Resistance is pleased to host a discussion style seminar aimed at further engaging with students, faculty, staff, and community members, on the topic of race and the academy. Race and Resistance is pleased to have Machilu Van Bever Donker of the University's Equality and Diversity Unit, along with panelists representing the Oxford Student Union's Campaign for Racial Awareness, undergraduates, and graduate students, to lead the discussion, which will be open to the public.
