Community and University Activism in Oxford

Community and university activism in Oxford

Oxford, though best known for its associations with the English political elite and global intelligentsia, has also been the localized site of intense class conflict, student activism, and racial tension over the course of its eight hundred year history. “Community and University Activism in Oxford” serves as a participatory prologue to an upcoming collaborative workshop between Race and Resistance and St. Antony’s College aimed at engaging with Oxford’s past and present activist movements. In this initial  informational seminar, Shuraneet Takhar will outline his vision for the workshop, which will take place at the end of Hilary Term 2018 at St. Antony’s College. This will be followed by a question and answer session which we believe is invaluable in tailoring the event to suit the needs potential participants.
