We are delighted to announce that our first ever Creative Careers Night will be held at the Ashmolean Museum on Thursday 6th February 2020!

Join us to hear from industry professionals working in creative arts, TV, film and gaming, writing, creative technology, advertising, craft and design, and everything else in between. Organised by the University of Oxford Careers Service, Creative Careers Night is designed to provide you with an idea of the breadth of the roles available within the Creative Industries and how to take your first steps towards a role in this sector.

The event will give you an insight into the many and varied career paths that are available, ideas for how to market transferable skills, tips on freelancing and building your own professional portfolio and the opportunity to practice your networking skills.

The six panel talks on the night will include:

- Careers in fine art, museums and galleries

- TV and film

- Writing

- Craft and design

- Creative tech

- Music and broadcasting

As well as plenty of time to talk to industry professionals, recruiters and alumni in a beautiful, relaxed setting, Creative Careers Night will also feature some short performance pieces, a mini-showcase of student’s creative work and the opportunity to explore the Ashmolean’s fascinating collections.

We hope to see you at what promises to be an exciting and inspiring evening!

DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR BOD CARD OR STUDENT CARD WITH YOU ON THE DAY!
