Creative Industries Pathway: Digital Futures

A series of talks by professionals in the Creative Industries considering the following questions:

•What is the hard tech being developed in Oxford and how is it being used in the creative economy?

•How can emerging AI (Artificial Intelligence), AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) enhance public engagement with research and collections?

•How can academic research in the Humanities provide a basis for the future digital landscape?

SPEAKER 1:

Arcade: Augmenting reality to make places playable. Arcade specialises in using immersive technology to create meaningful connections between people and places for cultural and heritage sites, visitor attractions, B2C and B2B brands, retail, events & experiential, non-profits and academic institutions.

SPEAKER 2:

Project Dastaan: What if we could take you back? Using VR to transcend physical borders and promote cultural exchange. Project Dastaan seeks to reconnect individuals displaced during the 1947 Partition of India and Pakistan to their ancestral villages through cutting edge technology.

This event will be followed by drinks and networking.
