The Heritage Partnerships Team is pleased to promote this event, which is part of the Historic House Research Cluster of the University of Oxford. The cluster is led by doctoral students that host termly events with external speakers to reflect on new research and interpretation trends in the sector, and is a legacy of the Thames Valley Country House Partnership.

Adrian Tinniswood OBE FSA, author of sixteen books on architectural and social history, will be talking about his newest publication Noble Ambitions: The Fall and Rise of the Post-War Country House (set for release this autumn), which offers a ‘rollicking tour’ of these houses encom-passing everything from the Rolling Stones to the Gowers Report. Adrian will be giving us a sneak-peek of the material he covers and his research process, with the opportunity for some questions afterwards.

The event will take place on Wednesday 16th June 2021 at 2pm, Online (via Zoom)

The event is free and open to all Oxford students, staff and researchers.
