Operating with Feeling. A Workshop on Surgery and Emotion

operating with feeling

This one-day workshop will be divided into three sessions, each of which will explore different emotional issues affecting today's surgeons.

  • Stress, Burnout and Bullying;
  • Anxiety, Doubt and Grief;
  • Compassion and Sympathy.

Each session will open with a panel, comprising informal presentations from three different speakers. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A and then a breakout discussion where delegates can explore the issue in more depth and consider opportunities and challenges in surgical training and practice.
