Rebuilding Heritage

The Heritage Partnerships Team is pleased to promote Rebuilding Heritage, a free support programme to help the heritage sector respond to the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The programme is coordinated by The Heritage Alliance and will be delivered through a partnership with Clore LeadershipCreative United, the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, and Media Trust. It is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Rebuilding Heritage will build confidence in a time of crisis by supporting individuals and organisations to overcome immediate challenges and plan for a sustainable future. It will support the heritage sector, in its broadest sense, to respond to the crisis and to transition to recovery. It will provide training, advice, and support through:

  • one-to-one and group coaching and training sessions
  • opportunities for knowledge sharing
  • open access webinars
  • online guides and case studies

Across the heritage sector many organisations are being forced to rethink how they operate, why and who for. At this point of change, as well as difficulties there are also opportunities which can be embraced. Rebuilding Heritage will bring organisations together to share best practice, to find solutions to problems, and to develop a broad collective vision of the future for the sector.

Rebuilding Heritage will be responsive to changing circumstances and the programme will evolve over the course of delivery. Areas for support will include:

  • Leadership & Governance
  • Change Management
  • Business & Enterprise Planning
  • Fundraising
  • Marketing & Communications
