Research Insights: Humanities

said business school

A lunchtime session open to all highlighting the link between research and innovation.

Research Insights is a series of lunchtime sessions highlighting the fascinating research going on across the University of Oxford. Throughout Michaelmas and Hilary terms, the Entrepreneurship Centre will be showcasing research and innovation opportunities taking place across all 4 divisions.

The objective of the sessions is for attendees to have insight into other divisions, their research and areas of innovation. It provides the opportunity to network with academics, as well as access to potential ideas. For researchers from these divisions, it allows them to share their work and have individuals approach this from diverse perspectives.

Kirsten Shepherd-Barr is a professor from the Faculty of English as well as the Humanities Innovation Champion. During the session, she will be sharing her academic journey as well as her transition into entrepreneurship. In 2018 she started a digital innovation project LitHits, which aims to break down barriers to reading and encourage wider engagement with literature. She will also be joined by Dr Alexandra Paddock, Editorial Lead for LitHits.
