Oxford Preservation Trust Trustee, Tom Hassall OBE will present a personal view of archaeology in the city of Oxford during the fifty-year period from the first to the second Westgate excavations. He will refer to the personalities involved, the organisational framework, changes to methods of excavation and post excavation analysis, publications, archive storage, museum display and public engagement, concluding with some thoughts on future directions.
