Town and Clown: Oxford's Hilarious Hidden Histories

oxfords hidden histories

Join us at the Old Museum on Thursday 18 May for a glimpse behind the curtains of Oxford’s hilarious past. Professor Hannah Skoda (Faculty of History, University of Oxford) museum professional Rebecca Mileham, and writer/comedian Richard O. Smith will be delving into bad behaviour, wacky museum stories, and the mayhem wrought by Oxford’s not-always-luminous luminaries.

All proceeds from the night will go towards the Oxford’s Hidden Histories project: the Museum of Oxford’s major redevelopment initiative, which will include a brand-new museum. The museum’s Barge Bar will also be serving drinks throughout the evening!
The Museum of Oxford’s Young Innovators team are putting on this event as part of the UK-wide festival Museums at Night. Doors open at 7pm – we hope to see you there!

Tickets cost £10/£7. Book here
