Writing for the Stage Workshops

writing for the stage

Interested in writing for the stage and working with young people?

TORCH is collaborating with Pop Up Projects and local youth groups to deliver two one-day workshops for young people. Led by Sudha Bhuchar, an experienced actor, playwright and artistic director, your role will be to work with the attendees and help them to produce a short piece of writing for the stage based on, or in response to, their own life experiences.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your own stage writing skills and gain experience working with a professional practitioner and with young people in the arts.

The workshop on Saturday 19th October will take place in Radcliffe Humanities; the workshop on 23rd November requires travel to Studi02 in Bicester. Lunch will be provided and any travel costs reimbursed. Open to research and taught students from all departments, faculties and schools.

This workshop has now taken place. If you have any questions, please contact Ruth Moore, Theatre Project Officer.
