Bliss Ashley is a first-year undergraduate student reading Fine Art at the Ruskin School of Art, after recently completing a foundation diploma in Art and Design, specialising in Fine Art, at Leeds Arts University. Observation and deep reflection are key processes I undertake when developing my work. I use the physical properties of film photography and dated forms of digital presentation as a visual metaphor for this self-reflection. Although I mainly work with time-based media i.e., film, photography, and sound, I see my practice as sculptural; I am interested in the relationships people have to a space/landscape and therefore the subsequent synergy created between my artwork and the viewer.
