Vin Nardizzi is Associate Professor of English Language and Literatures at the University of British Columbia. His first book, Wooden Os: Shakespeare’s Theatres and England’s Trees(Toronto, 2013), recently appeared in paperback. A collection of essays co-edited with Tiffany Jo Werth, Premodern Ecologies in the Modern Literary Imagination, will appear in 2019 from the University of Toronto Press; also forthcoming is a special issue on “Premodern Plants” for the journal Postmedieval that he has co-edited with Robert W. Barrett, Jr. He is working on two book-length projects: the first is called “Marvellous Vegetables: Plants and the Poetry of Description in the English Renaissance”; the second is called “Environmental Keywords for the Seventeenth Century.” He is currently the Director of the Oecologies project. In 2021 he will be organizing “Sky” at UBC in Vancouver.
