Gabriela Minden is a DPhil candidate in English literature and Amelia Jackson scholar at Exeter College. Her research explores the impact of Serge Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes on theatre practices of the early twentieth century, focusing on the theories and productions of Edward Gordon Craig, Max Reinhardt, Harley Granville-Barker, J.M. Barrie, Terence Gray, and Rupert Doone.
Prior to embarking on her DPhil, Gabriela was a dancer, training with the Salzburg Ballet, Houston Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre, and performing with the Moscow Ballet and Ballet West. She uses her background in dance to inform her research.
