Tutor on Indian textiles, dress and fashion studies
Jasleen Kandhari is Tutor of Indian art, textiles and fashion studies courses at University of Oxford, continuing education whose research interests focus on the visual and material culture of the Sikhs and the Punjab including Sikh Comics and Graphic Novels. She is committed to wider forms of public engagement in raising awareness of South Asian popular culture as reflected in her lectures, publications and media outputs whilst her forthcoming book, the Thames and Hudson World of Art series, 'Sikh Art & Architecture' includes her research on Sikh Comics Art. Jasleen is committed to the Decolonisation in Academia Movement which underpins her research ethos. She is the first Asian female antiques expert to be featured on BBC Antiques Roadshow.
