Patricia Thille has a hybrid background: physical therapy (BScPT, 1998) and sociology (PhD, 2015). In 2018, she joined the University of Manitoba’s College of Rehabilitation Sciences as an Assistant Professor in Physical Therapy. Her research program brings critical social scientific theories and methodologies into health services and health professions education research. She focuses on primary care and rehabilitation settings, doing research to disrupt stigmatization and discrimination in health care settings. Her work has been recognized through several awards, including from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Killam Trusts, and the Government of Alberta.
